As a first timer to Northumbrian Resort in Sioux Lookout northern Ontario Canada, the experience more than met my expectations. The reason first the fantastic fishing in northern Ontario, second, the courteous and engaging staff; third, the rustic, yet comfortable accommodations. Finally, I honestly did not miss the absence of radios, television and telephone calls as I was consumed by the beautiful setting and peace of mind which Northumbrian Resort made possible throughout my stay.
Our vacation was great! The outpost cabin was very nice. And the fishing was amazing! Thanks again.

In Sioux Lookout northern Ontario it doesn't take long. The first day I got a chance at a nice 14 point bull moose and scored.
This is our second trip to Northumbrian Resort Sioux Lookout northern Ontario Canada and the fishing in ontario was amazing. At one time we caught and released 12 or 14 northern from 36" to 38" in a matter of 30 minutes. Thanks for a very memorable time.
Northumbrian Resort has excellent guides that try very hard to make the hunt a quality experience. They knocked themselves out trying to get us our moose.
I can't image a better time than we had together fishing in ontario, eating, telling fish stories! I will be back to Northumbrian Resort in the Sioux and I know my Dad will too!

This was my first experience fishing in Canada. I came here with my husband to Northumbrian Resort in Sioux Lookout Ontario. Before we arrived, I was a little concerned about being a woman and staying at a fishing resort for 7 days. I don't think I need to eat for a week after leaving! Our guide really took care of us while fishing in ontario. I was able to catch many huge fish! My husband and I are already planning our next excursion to Sioux Lookout Ontario
It was exciting at Northumbrian Resort in Sioux Lookout to catch such a big lake trout. It was a really fun time because I caught over 35 by the end of the first week. I believe I will be back next year to northern Ontario Canada Dan the man.
I would have to say that this year at Northumbrian Resort in Sioux Lookout was a lot better than last year. The fishing was great. This year, I caught more fish 40" + in one day, than in the whole of last year. After two years of fishing in ontario at Northumbrian Resort, it feels weird to fish anywhere else, because I know it won't be as good as it is here. Thanks again for a great fishing year!

I can't believe I got tired of catching fish. This had to have been the best day ever in Sioux Lookout. We quit counting walleye, and measuring Pike over 36".

Hello Northumbrian Resort. I could not count the laughs we've had this past week. Moose hunting was great and the company was better. Its hard to believe I have not met these people before in Sioux Lookout Ontario.
Between myself and my dad, we caught 11 monster northern pike over our 6 days. This was our six trip up to Northumbrian Resort and we are already booked for number # 7. I look forward to returning to Sioux Lookout northern Ontario from the day I leave Canada.

This was the first trip to Northumbrian Resort for my father, my husband and me. From the moment we arrived in northern Ontario, till check-out time, we found the staff to be extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. The three of us are all experienced anglers and the fishing experience here exceeded all expectations! The fly-in to your own private lake experience was really cool! I was able to spend some quality time with my dad, cousin Mike, and my uncle Todd when we were in Sioux Lookout. We caught so many fish it was amazing. This was my first trip to Northumbrian Resort in northern Ontario Canada and caught a 47" northern pike my first day. Pretty hard to top this fishing experience.
My trip to Sioux Lookout northern Ontario was like no other. The fishing was great! It was like catching a fish every cast. The short lunches were the tops. The fish were huge; walleyes reaching 30” long and northern pike 40” to 45”, lake trout 37”. I hope to come back soon.
This summer at Northumbrian Resort in the Sioux I had the fishing time of my life. The first day right off the bat, a 22 lb. lake trout hits my lure. Lake trout don't just hit your line, they take it to the bottom. Murray

While staying at Northumbrian Resort, I had the absolute greatest fishing experience ever. I caught huge fish and probably the most. Although you may not believe me, I caught three doubles at the same lake on the same day. If I decided to go fishing at a resort again, Northumbrian Resort in Sioux Lookout northern Ontario would be at the top of my list.
